Thanks to the effort and help of Christine Davlin of the Lee County Visitor and Convention Bureau, we have continued to develop more content to work with businesses prior to our or “Are you ready for season” workshop on October 27. Christine and I discussed some very valid points which you should consider as a business owner in the hospitality trades or retail business.
- The Social Trend: The big trend is customers using various social media platforms to blog, rate, review their experiences with businesses, staying ahead of that by focusing on service is a great way to be proactive and limit negative feedback. The last thing a business needs is a negative “Yelp” or “Google+” Rating because an employee was rude or inattentive to a customer.
- Employees know what to do, what we need to focus on why they don’t do it so we can understand how to make them do it in a positive way so they smile while they do what they need to do!
- Remove your blinders and be aware of the true experience of your customer, then be willing to address it!
These are just a few topics we will be covering at our “Are You Ready for Season” workshop on October 27th. Remember, this is a free workshop. The workshop will be held at the FGCU Sugden Welcome Center, 10501 FGCU Blvd. S., Fort Myers, 33965 on Monday, October 27, 2014 from 9:30AM-11:30AM.
