In SW Florida, in all Florida for that, we have to remember, one of our mainstays are our seasonal clients. But outside of visitors, what about the rest of our state businesses who cater to residents and also conduct business across the US and even internationally? Customer service is never a one-stop process, one skill fits all, learned one-time only. In-fact, people (management and regular staff) occasionally need to brush up on their skills. Outside of skills, other considerations are if you do business abroad, do you know what other countries customs are? Are you customer friendly internationally, even nationally? In doing our research, we found the SBA has a nice introductory course to “Customer Service” online. It’s a self-paced training course that defines customer service, implementation of good service plans, and this could actually be used as a tool to train your new or even existing staff, especially BEFORE season.
