FORT MYERS, Fla. – The Southwest Florida Small Business Resource Network (SBRN) will host networking and discussion event about intellectual property for small business owners Thursday, April 16, 11:45 p.m. to 1 p.m., at Connors Steak and Seafood Gulf Coast Town Center, 10076 Gulf Center Dr, Fort Myers. SBRN, a statewide organization, is sponsored locally by Florida Gulf Coast University’s Small Business Development Center.
Speakers for the meeting are Ed Livingston and Bryan Loeffler from the law firm of Livingston Loeffler, P.A. The speakers are both U.S. registered patent attorneys and board certified by The Florida Bar in intellectual property law. The presentation will focus on how a business can protect its intellectual property by the use of patent, trademark, copyright, trade secret, and contract law – as well as how to profit from same through licensing and franchising.
The meeting is being sponsored by Mike Pfeffer, of Murphy Business and Financial Services.
The event begins with networking over lunch, followed by our topic discussion. Lunch is included in the cost which is $20 per person for members.
