#DreamSmallBiz: National Small Business Week Recap – Part One

Earlier this month, we celebrated National Small Business Week and honored small businesses and entrepreneurs for their hard work and contributions to our communities. This year’s theme was “Dream Big, Start Small,” and we worked to highlight the impact that small businesses have on job growth, innovation, and America’s global competitiveness.

Throughout the week, we held events focused on trade, lending for small businesses, veteran support, targeting millennial entrepreneurs, and an InnovateHER competition in which entrepreneurs pitched products and services for a chance to win a stake in $30,000 of prize money.  We wrapped up the week with an awards ceremony in Washington, D.C. where national award winners were recognized and awarded for their achievements.
