International Expo Success! The Florida SBDC International Trade Expo 2015
Fort Myers, Fla. – The Florida SBDC at Florida Gulf Coast University (FGCU) hosted its inaugural International Trade Expo at the Holiday Inn at Gulf Coast Town Center. Attendees were given the opportunity to learn about export opportunities, finance for export industries, website globalization, and meet with successful local exporters.
Manuel (Manny) A. Mencia, the senior vice president of the International Trade & Business Development division of Enterprise Florida, Inc., (EFI) opened the Expo and discussed global exporting opportunities and projected industry growth.
Breakout sessions covered several key topics related to operating a successful export company. Kevin Brady, International Trade Specialist for the Florida SBDC, presented Website Globalization. Daisy Ramos-Winfield, Executive VP of Florida Export Finance Corporation, presented, Insuring Export Receivables”, and Dan Bjerk of the US Export Assistance Center presented “Finding International Clients and Vetting Buyers”.
