Since the time Dr. Michael Knecht decided he wanted to be a chiropractor at the age of 14, he always envisioned opening and running his practice. After working in 3 different offices over the past 9 years, Dr. Michael had seen what worked in practice and what does not. He has already garnered many testimonials from his patients over the years. Dr. Michael and his wife are excited to bring his skill and expertise to Southwest Florida!
Dr. Michael found out about the SBDC through his research looking for an SBA loan. The SBDC popped up online and he reached out to the center immediately. He had already gone to several banks and was just having a tough time finding the right loan needed for his practice.
“The SBDC was fantastic! They have allowed me to take my dream and my long-term goal of having our practice and making it a reality. The SBDC was the only one that was able to get the SBA loan I needed to launch the business within three days.” says Knecht.
He received assistance on how to use QuickBooks so he can properly hand off his financials to his CPA. He also used the marketing consultations with Andrea Walker, which saved him thousands of dollars over the last year.
“ The advice that I got alone since working with the SBDC, we’ve just seen some amazing changes in our business, especially because we started right off the bat with the SBDC. That was the leg up in our business, that we had was invaluable. On top of that, we have since hired somebody part-time who is now full-time. We are hitting our five-year goal and we’re only at the beginning of year two.” says Knecht.
