The Coronavirus Aid, Relief and Economic Security Act,
CARES Act for Small Businesses

On Sunday, December 27th President Trump signed the “Consolidated Appropriations Act of 2021,” which provides additional assistance to small businesses, nonprofits, and venues struggling from the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The bill provides funding for another round of Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) forgivable loans, Economic Injury Disaster Loan (EIDL) grants, a special grant program for shuttered venues, and enhancements to other SBA lending programs.

As part of the legislation, the SBA has 10 days to implement the new rules.
